A note from our founder:

GM, Its been a while since we launched Kyte Social (https://app.kyte.social) and its been a wild ride. We received massive support from our backers, partners, customers and obv. our community, the users, who from day one have backed us to build what we envision and we had successfully brought it to life.

After a successful launch and 10s of sprint & community deployments on our platform, peaking our userbase at 1700+, we have unfortunately decided to pivot our app due to a few reasons:

We realized that though our launch was a blast, and we had a few successful partnerships, with a fast paced changing market we were front run by some better solutions in the market which made our product look like we solved no real problem or the problem could be solved with better solutions in the market.
Our TAM was very limited when we got into the market and the competition was fierce, finding a differentiator for us became tough, though our product was differently positioned and branded, the product solved the same problem like others i.e. distribution/growth. It was harsh reality we had to face when we landed on the market and tried partnering with projects - “Why would I use Kyte if X already has this and they are a bigger distribution channel?” Although we tried our best to mention out our key differentiation like Sybil protection, different format for questing, those became irreverent with time as competitors picked onto those.
It was hard to create a sustainable business. We had previously before launching studied several case studies of dead questing competitors like pyme, wallapp, etc. on what mistakes they did and why they failed, so that we don’t repeat the same. However, we realized that it was hard creating a new revenue based economy, which worked and was sustainable, unless you have a huge distribution of users and cash to burn upfront. With limited runway, we didn’t have enough time to experiment on new models and burn money.
We initially went with both EVM chains and Solana just because we knew we needed a larger TAM and just solana alone wont be enough for our model for a questing platform. But deep in our hearts we knew we wanted to do something just on Solana as personally my journey had started in Solana and i connect myself with the culture more.

This experiment was really essential for us and we had a lot of learning with GTM and trying to find PMF. This experience would power us in our upcoming journey.

So what’s next?

We have decided to stop the current web app and its operations, and pivot to a completely new thing. We are removing all posts from our X page to rebrand it. However, we are keeping the name same. “Kyte” the name itself is very close to our hearts and we will continue its legacy.
So what are we building next? We explored the market for a few months and explored a lot of potential opportunities, narratives and problems that can be solved and what scale we can do it. After careful consideration and relevance to our vision, we are have finally what we would be working on next. I am glad to let you guys know what we will be working on a new mobile first consumer app that revolves around tokenization that is targeted towards the retail from traditional social apps like tiktok, instagram, X, YT shorts. More details will be dropped soon, we are currently yet to start building it and currently in the validation/feedback stage.
What happened to TrueHuman v1? TrueHuman V1 was a multi-layered sybil detection protocol, with layers like invisible verifications, on-chain reputation scoring, Reclaim proof of personhood verification. TrueHuman has pivoted to TrueBeing, from a simple sybil detection protocol to a crypto-native privacy preserving KYC & financial screenings protocol focusing on creating a new age regulated crypto financial economy. Our goal is to continue with R&D of TrueBeing V2 and once its production ready, integrate it with our new Kyte mobile app that is being built.
